TWP-1500 CLEAR does not contain ultraviolet screening pigments and is not intended for color retention and will allow the wood to gray naturally.

I used TWP1516 on my 4 month old pressure treated deck. The exposure is southern (full, harsh sun)in the mid-atlantic region. I chose TWP because it has mildewcide, UV protection, a good water barrier & requires little prep. It also kept it's color in my 2 mos. test against other top-rated stains. I did prep all surface. I put down 2 coats to achieve the color I wanted. After 2 weeks I reapplied stain with a stain-saturated lint free cloth. It looks great!

I have used this product exclusively on my cedardeck and loghouse for approximately 8 years, I live in western Oregon where it rains a lot in the winter and has pretty dry summers. I like "TWP" because there is not much prep and no stripping, but you must stay on top of your staining ie don't let the stain wear out. I have a well travelled area on the front of my deck that is in the direct sunlight and I have found that I have to stain it yearly, in other areas of the deck I only need to stain every other year. The loghouse portion only needs restaining every three years on the weathered side. I use the 501 cedartone and this product blends in well with my western red cedar deck and douglas fir logs. the color is almost the same as what you would see out of a " Lincoln Log" toy set. I have not found any other product that will perform as well as this.

We had an awful time with getting the old coating off and picking a new coating. Our neighbors had the house coated with the TWP 200 Stain, but we like the colors of the TWP 1500 Stain. SealandProtect helped and directed us how to do our house. We are very thankful for their help. They even called us later to see if everything went well, just great customer service.
